Telangana Reviews Three High-Speed Bullet Train Corridor Proposals
The Telangana government has initiated discussions on developing high-speed bullet train connectivity by reviewing proposals for three major corridors aimed at strengthening the state’s transport infrastructure.
Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy chaired a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat on Friday to examine the proposed high-speed rail corridors. The corridors discussed include Hyderabad–Pune–Mumbai, Bharat Future City–Bengaluru, and Bharat Future City–Amaravati–Chennai.
Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj and senior officials attended the meeting. They held detailed discussions on the feasibility of the proposed corridors, their interconnectivity, and the infrastructure required to support the ambitious high-speed rail network.
Mr. Venkat Reddy said the Telangana government is moving ahead with a planned approach to transform the state into one of the country’s most advanced transportation connectivity hubs. The proposals are at an early stage, and further studies will determine their viability.
The review comes amid India's broader push for high-speed rail, with the Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor under construction. Telangana's proposed corridors aim to connect major economic hubs, potentially reducing travel time and boosting regional growth.
