Quick Action by Marine Police Rescues Five Telangana Tourists at RK Beach

Five tourists from Telangana were rescued from drowning at RK Beach in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, after strong waves pulled them into deeper waters. The Coastal Security Police (Marine) acted swiftly in coordination with community guards to bring all five to safety.

According to Coastal Security Police Visakhapatnam Inspector S. Ramesh, the incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. when the tourists, all from Mushampalli in Nalgonda district of Telangana, entered the sea for a bath. They were suddenly swept away by powerful shore waves, leaving them struggling to return to shore.

Alert marine police personnel on duty noticed the situation and immediately launched a rescue operation. They entered the water and safely brought all five tourists back to dry land.

Once ashore, the rescued individuals received first aid. All five are reported to be in good health and have been discharged from the scene.
