Protest Group Demands Education Minister's Resignation, Calls NEET Paper Leak Talks 'Non-Negotiable'

A delegation from the protest group CJP (Citizens for Justice Party) has told two Union ministers that their demand for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is 'non-negotiable'. The group, which has been leading demonstrations over the NEET paper leak, made the statement after a two-hour meeting with Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh at the Vithalbhai Patel House here on Friday.

CJP's national spokesperson Saurav Das said, 'We told Union ministers that our demand for the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan is non-negotiable.' He added that the group has also demanded ₹1 crore compensation for the families of students who died by suicide after the cancellation of the NEET exam on May 3. Additionally, they called for the withdrawal of FIRs filed against protesters.

Mr Nadda said the ministers listened to the demands and assured the delegation that they would revert. 'We will again meet on Saturday,' he said. The meeting was part of ongoing efforts to resolve the outfit's demands related to irregularities in the exam process.

The NEET paper leak controversy has sparked widespread protests across the country, with students and parents seeking accountability. The CJP has been at the forefront of these demonstrations, insisting on the minister's resignation as a precondition for any settlement.
