NEET UG Round 2 Counselling: Registration Ends Today, Results on Sep 11
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will close the registration window for Round 2 of NEET UG counselling today, September 8. Candidates who have not yet applied can register and complete the process through the official website, mcc.nic.in, before the deadline. The committee has added 659 new seats in MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing courses for this round.
According to the official schedule, choice filling and locking will continue until September 9. The processing of seat allotment is scheduled for September 9 and 10, and the Round 2 seat allotment result will be declared on September 11. Candidates who are allotted seats must report to their designated colleges between September 12 and September 18. They will also have the option to participate in Round 3 if they wish to seek an upgrade to a different seat.
In Round 1, over 29,000 seats were allotted by MCC. The counselling process is intended to fill seats under the All India Quota, which is a part of the total undergraduate medical admissions in the country. State-level counselling separately handles 85 per cent of state quota seats in government medical and dental colleges, along with specified shares in private and minority institutions within each state.
Several states have also released details for their own counselling rounds. The Uttar Pradesh NEET counselling Round 1 seat allotment result is available on the official website, dgme.up.gov.in. Candidates allotted seats in UP are required to report to their colleges and confirm admission by September 14. For Andhra Pradesh, the final Round 1 seat allotment under the competent authority quota for MBBS can be checked on the website drntr.uhsap.in. The Dr NTR University of Health Sciences is expected to announce the Round 2 schedule soon. Meanwhile, registration for Round 2 of Gujarat NEET UG counselling has started, and candidates can submit their choices on the official website, medadmgujarat.org, until September 11.
