NEET-UG Re-exam: Nationwide Mock Drill Tests Preparedness, Security Tightened
A nationwide mock drill is underway across India on Saturday (June 20, 2026) as part of preparations for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, officials said. The exercise aims to ensure smooth, secure, and transparent conduct of the medical entrance test.
Security has also been tightened at the National Testing Agency (NTA) office in the national capital, they added.
The re-examination is scheduled for June 21 from 2 p.m. to 5.15 p.m. in pen-and-paper mode. It will be held across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad for over 22.79 lakh candidates.
Authorities have implemented extensive security and administrative measures to facilitate seamless conduct of the exam. The mock drill is designed to test preparedness at examination centres and improve coordination among various agencies involved.
