Lok Sabha Disrupted for Third Day Over NEET Paper Leak, Opposition Demands Minister's Resignation

The Lok Sabha witnessed its third consecutive day of disruption on Wednesday over the NEET UG paper leak issue, as Opposition MPs demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The House was repeatedly adjourned despite the government expressing its readiness for a discussion on the matter.

Opposition leaders, including Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party's Akhilesh Yadav, and Trinamool Congress's Saugata Roy, among others, staged a protest in the House wearing black clothes. They expressed solidarity with students protesting against the paper leak, which has sparked demonstrations at Jantar Mantar in Delhi and other cities across the country.

Speaking before the House was adjourned, Congress MP K C Venugopal said, 'The entire nation is in pain now... the way in which the government brutally dealt with students protesting against Dharmendra Pradhan.' The Opposition has held the minister responsible for the leak and demanded his resignation, while the government has maintained that it is prepared for a debate but not for individual resignations.

The disruption marks a continued deadlock between the Treasury and Opposition benches, with parliamentary proceedings being stalled for the third straight day amid the ongoing Monsoon session.
