Onam is the state festival of Kerala, celebrating the mythical King Mahabali's annual visit. The festival is marked by floral arrangements, traditional feasts, boat races, and various art forms. Lavanyam 2026, with its diverse programme, aims to showcase the cultural richness of the region while providing a platform for both traditional and contemporary performances.
The event is expected to attract a large number of visitors, both domestic and international, given the popularity of Onam celebrations in Kerala. The collaboration between the Tourism department, District Tourism Promotion Council, and district administration underscores the collective effort to promote the region's cultural heritage and boost local tourism. With performances spread across multiple venues, the festival is designed to offer an immersive experience of Kerala's traditions and artistic expressions.
