Kejriwal Alleges ‘Big Names’ in Ram Temple Donation Theft, Questions CBI-ED Inaction
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has raised questions over the lack of action by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a case concerning the alleged theft of donations meant for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
In a statement on Wednesday, Kejriwal claimed that “big names” are involved in the case and that the “government may fall” if a proper investigation is conducted. He did not provide specific evidence or name any individuals.
The allegations pertain to a reported theft of funds from the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which oversees the construction of the temple. No official complaint has been lodged by the trust with the central agencies, and there has been no official response from the CBI, ED, or the trust as of now.
Kejriwal’s remarks come amid ongoing political tensions between his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the centre. The BJP has dismissed the allegations as baseless.
The case is yet to be registered with any investigative agency, and it remains unclear whether the trust will seek a probe.
