Hindalco Unveils Rs 1 Lakh Crore Investment Pipeline, Chairman Birla Announces

Hindalco Industries, part of the Aditya Birla Group, is exploring strategic projects with a potential investment pipeline of Rs 1 lakh crore, according to Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla. The announcement was made at the company's annual general meeting.

Birla stated that the company has already earmarked Rs 50,000 crore for growth projects across the value chain, while another Rs 50,000 crore in opportunities are being evaluated. This marks an unprecedented capital programme in the company's history, with combined investments of approximately $10 billion in organic growth from Hindalco's India business and its US subsidiary, Novelis.

“Across our businesses, Hindalco is executing an unprecedented investment to enhance capacities in our mines, upstream and downstream operations in India,” Birla said. The investments aim to lift the company's growth trajectory and strengthen its position in the aluminium and copper sectors.

Hindalco's ambitious plans reflect the Aditya Birla Group's confidence in India's economic prospects and its commitment to expanding manufacturing capabilities. The company has not disclosed specific projects but indicated that the investments will cover both domestic and international operations.
