Google's Gemini Spark AI Agent Now Live in India – A 24/7 Personal Assistant

Google has officially launched Gemini Spark, a personal artificial intelligence agent, in India. The assistant operates continuously and can perform tasks on behalf of users, marking a step towards more autonomous AI tools.

First announced at Google's annual developer conference I/O in May, Spark is powered by the company's Gemini 3.5 model. It is designed to reason across information from connected applications and take actions under user direction.

According to Google, the agent aims to help users manage their digital lives by interacting with various services. It integrates deeply with Google's own ecosystem, such as pulling information from Google Docs, Gmail, and Calendar. The company plans to extend support to third-party apps including OpenTable, Spotify, and Uber in the near future.

Users retain control over how Spark functions, with options to specify which apps and data it can access. This launch reflects the broader industry trend of tech companies developing AI agents that can autonomously perform complex tasks.

Gemini Spark is available now in the Gemini app for users in India. Google has not yet announced a timeline for a global rollout.
