Delhi Police Report Reveals Clashes at Four Locations During Monday Protest

The Delhi Police have confirmed that clashes occurred at four main locations in the capital on Monday, according to an internal report reviewed by this publication. The affected areas include Sansad Marg, the Rail Bhawan roundabout, Jantar Mantar, and the Connaught Place Outer Circle-Janpath stretch.

In a meeting held at the office of DCP (New Delhi district) Sachin Sharma on Monday night, Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar was briefed that the district police had begun preparing a factual report on the day's events, a source said. The Special CP (law and order) and other senior officers attended the meeting.

The police reported using “mild force” to bring the situation under control. The clashes involved supporters of a political group protesting at Jantar Mantar. No injuries or arrests have been officially confirmed, though further details are expected in the forthcoming report.

Queries sent to DCP Sharma and the Delhi Police spokesperson did not receive responses. The internal report is part of standard procedure following law and order incidents. The police are expected to release a public statement after completing their inquiry.

This incident highlights ongoing tensions around protest management in the capital, where multiple demonstrations occur regularly. Authorities have emphasized the need for peaceful assembly while ensuring public safety and order.
