Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Names Three BJP MLAs as Government Spokespersons

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday appointed BJP MLA Abhay Kumar Verma as the chief spokesperson of the Delhi government. Mr. Verma, who represents the Laxmi Nagar constituency, also serves as the chief whip of the BJP in the Delhi Assembly.

Alongside Mr. Verma, MLAs Anil Kumar Sharma and Harish Khurana have been named as spokespersons. The appointments are aimed at strengthening the government's communication with the public and ensuring transparent dissemination of information.

In a statement, Ms. Gupta said the decision underscores the government's commitment to transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric governance. "They will ensure timely and effective dissemination of official information regarding the government's policies, decisions, and public welfare initiatives to the citizens and media," she added.

The new spokespersons are expected to serve as the primary liaisons between the government and the media, providing clarity on policy matters and addressing public queries.
