CBI Probe Reveals Kailash, Shivalik as Codenames for Leaked NEET Question Sets

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has discovered that two sets of question papers for the NEET UG exam, which was held on May 3 and later cancelled due to a leak, were codenamed 'Kailash' and 'Shivalik', after iconic mountain ranges. The exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), was taken by over 22 lakh students aspiring for medical college seats across India.

The CBI filed a chargesheet on Tuesday before a fast-track court in Delhi, naming 13 accused, including NTA subject experts Manisha Mandhare (biology), Pralhad Vithalrao Kulkarni (chemistry), and Manisha Sanjay Havaldar (physics). The agency has completed a major part of its investigation in 77 days.

The paper leak led to widespread protests and the cancellation of the exam. The investigation into the incident continues.
