BRS MLC Kavitha Alleges ₹1,400 Crore Quid Pro Quo Corruption by Own Leaders

BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has accused her party's leadership of amassing ₹1,400 crore through alleged quid pro quo deals with contractors from the Andhra region. Speaking to reporters during a tour of Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Thursday, she alleged that the money in BRS bank accounts is linked to corrupt practices and should be distributed to the families of Telangana martyrs.

Kavitha, who is the daughter of BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao, specifically named her brother K. T. Rama Rao and cousin T. Harish Rao as being involved in these deals. She claimed that the party created opportunities for corruption and that the Congress government, which succeeded BRS, is following the same path. She urged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to focus on governance rather than political vendetta.

She also asserted that if her party comes to power, all land allotments made during the BRS and Congress regimes would be reviewed, particularly contracts given to Andhra-based contractors. Kavitha warned BRS cadre against insulting her on social media and said she would never return to the party.

Additionally, she alleged that milk supplied to some top private educational institutions came from a group owned by a BRS leader, and demanded that the state-run Vijaya Dairy supply milk to all institutions with more than 500 students.
