Andhra CM Naidu Readies TDP MPs for Monsoon Session with Key State Demands

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met with Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Members of Parliament on Friday to strategise the party's agenda for the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament, which is set to begin on July 20.

Mr. Naidu instructed the MPs to prioritise raising the state's financial requirements from the Central government, the progress of the new capital city Amaravati, and the status of the Polavaram irrigation project. These issues have been longstanding demands of the state government.

He also directed the MPs to highlight topics such as investment mobilisation, infrastructure development, the Godavari-Penna river linking project aimed at improving irrigation in the Rayalaseema region, the functioning of the Visakhapatnam-headquartered South Coast Railway (SCoR) Zone, and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

Furthermore, the TDP National President provided guidance on key legislative matters, including the Women's Reservation Bill, Delimitation, and other important bills expected to be tabled in Parliament.

Mr. Naidu emphasised the need to address the widespread misuse of social media platforms, drawing Parliament's attention to the issue. He also urged MPs to highlight problems in their respective Lok Sabha constituencies that require Central intervention.

Separately, Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party president K. Pawan Kalyan will convene a parliamentary party meeting at his residence in Hyderabad on July 18 to coordinate on the session's agenda.
