31 Injured as Private Bus Overturns in Tamil Nadu's Pudukottai District

Thirty-one passengers sustained injuries after a private bus overturned at Karaiyur in Pudukottai district on Thursday evening. One woman among the injured was referred to the Pudukottai Government Medical College and Hospital for further treatment.

According to police sources, the bus was travelling from Tiruchi to Ponnamaravathy when the accident occurred. The driver swerved to the left to give way to a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction, losing control of the vehicle, which then overturned.

Thirty passengers were treated as out-patients at the Karaiyur Primary Health Centre. The Karaiyur police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
