YSRCP demands CBI probe into Mega DSC-2025 irregularities, alleges suppression
YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) State coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy on Monday demanded a CBI inquiry into alleged irregularities in the Mega DSC-2025 teacher recruitment examination and the resignation of HRD Minister Nara Lokesh.
Speaking to media at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, Reddy alleged that the coalition government was trying to bury the irregularities by refusing to answer specific questions and instead unleashing police repression against students, unemployed youth, and the Opposition.
He said the affected candidates first raised the issue, approached courts, and produced evidence, after which the YSRCP took it up. The response to protests organised by the party for over a month showed that the issue was rooted in genuine public concern, he added.
Reddy questioned why the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) had complete control over question paper setting and examination management, and why confidential digital functions were entrusted to outsourced personnel. He also sought an explanation for calling candidates in a 1:1 ratio and denying appointments after certificate verification.
The sports quota had exposed a larger pattern, he alleged, with the government removing the written test requirement through special G.O.s, filling teacher posts without a DSC examination, and restoring the examination requirement immediately after the recruitment.
Instead of answering these questions, the government was projecting that everything was in order and using selected candidates to attack those seeking an inquiry, he alleged. The movement would not stop until the minister resigned and a CBI inquiry was ordered, he said.
The Mega DSC-2025 is a large-scale recruitment drive for teacher posts in Andhra Pradesh. Earlier, candidates had protested and moved court over alleged irregularities. The state government has maintained that the process was transparent, but has not yet issued a formal response to the latest allegations.
