World Cup 2026: Brazil face Haiti as co-hosts dominate early matches

Brazil are set to take on Haiti in a Group D match of the FIFA World Cup 2026 on Saturday, with kick-off scheduled for 6 AM IST. All eyes will be on Vinicius Junior as the Selecao look to secure a victory in their second group stage fixture.

Meanwhile, several matches have already been played on Friday and early Saturday, with co-hosts Canada, Mexico, and the United States all registering convincing wins.

Switzerland recorded their first win of the tournament, defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina 4-1. After a 1-1 draw with Bosnia in their opener, Canada bounced back emphatically with a 6-0 victory over Qatar, the hosts of the previous World Cup.

Mexico edged South Korea 1-0 to become the first team to qualify for the round of 32. The United States followed suit, beating Australia 2-0 to join Mexico in the knockout stage.

In Group C, Morocco took an early lead against Scotland in Boston, with Ismael Saibari scoring in the second minute. At the time of writing, Morocco lead 1-0 after 25 minutes.
