VTU Announces BE, BTech Results Within Five Minutes of Exam End

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has set a new benchmark by releasing the results of its sixth semester BE and BTech examinations just five minutes after the exams concluded. The announcement was made jointly by Vice-Chancellor S. Vidyashankar and Registrar (Evaluation) U.J. Ujwal on Tuesday, June 30, at 5:35 p.m., immediately following the 5:30 p.m. exam end time.

A total of 60,856 students appeared for the examinations. According to officials, the entire evaluation process was completed 21 days earlier than in previous years, with a pass percentage of 76.84%.

This rapid result publication follows a trend of faster processing at VTU. In a recent exercise, results for 56,000 final-year students were announced within 10 minutes of exam completion. In 2025, the university published results for 50,321 students within an hour. For the sixth semester in 2024-25, results for 58,232 students were available within 10 days of the exams finishing.

Vice-Chancellor Vidyashankar stated, 'Students wait eagerly for their results. Hence, we decided to announce them as quickly as possible. With proper preparation, we released the results immediately.'

Registrar Ujwal attributed the speed to digital evaluation methods, saying, 'We adopted digital evaluation and prepared well to announce results quickly.'

This achievement underscores the university's commitment to leveraging technology for efficient administrative processes, reducing student anxiety, and setting a precedent for other institutions.
