A four-storey commercial building in Uttam Nagar was completely gutted in a massive fire that broke out early Wednesday morning. The blaze started in an electronics showroom and quickly spread to other floors and adjacent shops.

The Delhi Fire Service (DFS) received a call at 4:15 a.m. and dispatched 13 fire tenders to the scene. The fire originated in the basement of the 350-square-yard building and spread rapidly, engulfing multiple showrooms dealing in electronic goods and furniture.

It took firefighters nearly three hours to bring the blaze under control. Police confirmed that the fire began at a Vijay Sales showroom and spread to an adjacent Bata outlet before being contained.
