Uruguay and Cabo Verde Kick Off Group H World Cup Clash in Miami

The Group H match between Uruguay and Cabo Verde is underway at the Miami stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, on Sunday. Both teams are seeking their first win after opening draws in the FIFA World Cup.

Uruguay were held to a 1-1 draw by Saudi Arabia in their tournament opener. Abdulelah Al Amri gave Saudi Arabia the lead, but Maxi Araujo equalised for Uruguay in a match that featured goalkeeping errors from both sides.

Cabo Verde, making their World Cup debut, earned a surprising 0-0 draw against Spain. The European champions dominated possession and registered 27 goal attempts, but could not beat the 40-year-old goalkeeper Vozinha, who made several crucial saves.

The FIFA World Cup began on June 10 and will conclude with the final on July 20. Today's match is crucial for both Uruguay and Cabo Verde as they aim to advance from Group H.
