Union Alleges Illegal Mass Dismissal of 800 Workers by CorroHealth

On July 16, the Hind Mazdoor Sabha (HMS) alleged that the mass dismissal of approximately 800 employees by CorroHealth was illegal. State secretary Biju Antony, speaking at a protest outside the company's Kozhikode office, claimed that the company acted in disregard of the State government.

Antony demanded a complete overhaul of the 'hire and fire' policy, which he said was part of the Centre's new labour codes. He urged Industries Minister P.K. Kunhalikutty to intervene and ensure the reinstatement of dismissed employees and provide them with adequate protection.

The protest was presided over by Mussammil Kommeri.
