Trump Warns of Expanded Strikes on Iran's Power Plants and Bridges

Washington, July 14, 2026 – US President Donald Trump has threatened to expand American military strikes against Iran to target power plants and bridges if Tehran does not agree to negotiations. In an interview with Fox News on Tuesday, Mr. Trump said, 'Next week it gets really bad for them because next week comes the power plants. Next week comes the bridges.'

He added, 'We're going to knock out all their power plants. We're going to knock out all their bridges unless they get to the table and negotiate.' The comments come as US forces have conducted strikes against Iran for four consecutive days and reimposed a naval blockade on Iranian ports.

A fragile ceasefire between the two sides, which took effect on June 17, has effectively collapsed. The focus of the conflict remains control of the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a vital waterway for global oil shipments. Asked how long the US strikes would continue, Mr. Trump replied, 'They'll continue until I say it's enough.'

The White House has not provided details on the scope or timing of the potential new strikes. No immediate response from Iranian officials has been reported.
