Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Sunday (August 16, 2026) expressed grief over the death of a police constable who collapsed during the Independence Day parade at Fort St. George in Chennai and subsequently died while undergoing treatment. According to an official press release from the Chief Minister's Office, Dharmaraj was immediately rushed to the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in Chennai.
