Three youths assaulted in Kochi road rage incident; police search for suspects

Kochi, July 26: Three youths riding a two-wheeler were allegedly assaulted by occupants of a car in a suspected road rage incident at Thrikkakara on Sunday. The Thrikkakara police have registered a case and are searching for the suspects, who are absconding.

The incident occurred near the NGO Quarters roundabout when the two-wheeler rider reportedly did not give way to the car. An argument ensued, during which the car passengers allegedly attacked the three youths. One victim suffered a fractured jaw and lost a tooth, another sustained a fractured skull and internal bleeding, and the third youth had injuries to his nose and lips. They have been admitted to a hospital and are stated to be stable.

Police are analysing CCTV footage from the area to identify the assailants and gather evidence. Investigations are ongoing.
