Three workers injured in sidewall collapse at SCCL's SRP-3 coal mine in Mancherial

Three employees of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) sustained injuries after a sidewall collapsed in the SRP-3 underground coal mine in the Srirampur Area of Mancherial district on Thursday.

According to SCCL sources, the injured workers have been identified as Sampath Kumar, Mahender, and Ravikumar. The incident occurred while they were performing roof-bolting work in the underground mine.

The injured workers were promptly shifted to the Singareni Area Hospital in the coal town for medical treatment.

In response to the accident, Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna directed SCCL officials to ensure priority medical care for the injured. He spoke with senior officials regarding the cause of the accident and instructed them to provide prompt and advanced medical treatment. He also emphasised the need to prioritise workers' safety and strictly adhere to all safety standards in Singareni coal mines.
