Telangana RTC Workers to Get 11% Fitment as Promised, Says Minister
Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar announced on Thursday that the Telangana government is implementing an 11% fitment for workers of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC), fulfilling a key promise.
The announcement comes ahead of the TGSRTC union elections, which are expected to be held soon. The minister stated that the decision would provide financial relief to thousands of workers and their families.
Mr. Prabhakar acknowledged the dedication of TGSRTC employees who stood by the corporation during challenging times. He emphasised that the 'Praja Palana' government prioritises employee welfare alongside strengthening the RTC and improving passenger services.
“Strengthening the RTC, ensuring employee welfare, and providing better services to passengers is the goal of our government,” he said.
