Telangana Nurse Arrested for Allegedly Killing Husband with Poisoned IV Drip

In a shocking case from Telangana's Nizamabad district, police have arrested a nurse for allegedly murdering her husband by injecting him with a deadly concoction through an intravenous (IV) drip. The accused, identified as D Sandhya, was taken into custody on July 4, along with two associates, Venkat Sai and Anil.

According to police, Sandhya's husband, Prashant, had returned from the Gulf in January this year, intending to stay home permanently due to the unstable situation in the region. This decision allegedly upset Sandhya, who had been planning the murder for months, police said.

Circle Inspector Suresh Kumar of Nizamabad Town South Rural Circle stated that Sandhya pushed Prashant from the terrace of their house and later injected him with a mixture of crushed sleeping pills, toilet cleaner, and tile cleaner acid through an IV drip. She told him she was providing treatment to help him recover from the fall. The police officer described the case as unprecedented in his career.

The investigation began after Prashant's death raised suspicions. Forensic analysis confirmed the presence of toxic substances in his body. Police arrested Sandhya and her alleged accomplices based on evidence and interrogations. The accused are currently in custody, and further investigations are underway.

This case highlights the complexities of domestic crimes and the misuse of medical knowledge. Police have urged the public to report any suspicious incidents and emphasized the importance of thorough forensic examination in such cases.
