Telangana begins special revision of electoral rolls; BLOs start door-to-door distribution
Telangana on Thursday (June 25, 2026) commenced the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) beginning house-to-house visits to distribute Enumeration Forms. The forms must be returned to the officers during their subsequent visit.
Important dates
BLOs will visit households from June 25 to July 24. The draft electoral rolls will be published on July 31, 2026. Citizens can file claims and objections from July 31 to September 28. The final electoral roll is scheduled to be published on October 1, 2026.
Eligible voters can check their names in the voter list using their EPIC number on the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Telangana website (https://ceotelangana.nic.in/). The portal also provides details of Electoral Registration Officers (ERO), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AERO), and Booth Level Officers. The electoral roll for SIR-2002 is also accessible.
Officials oversee form distribution
Wanaparthy District Collector Adarsh Surabhi inspected the distribution process on Thursday and instructed officials to complete distribution by July 1, while also explaining to electors how to fill the forms. Gadwal District Collector Rizwanbasha Shaik directed that Booth Level Agents (BLAs) must wear identity cards when accompanying BLOs during visits.
Hyderabad District Election Officer and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner R.V. Karnan also inspected the process in the Jubilee Hills constituency.
“If a house is locked, the Enumeration Form will be placed at the doorstep. Collection of duly filled forms will begin after one week. No documents will be collected during this phase,” the Hyderabad DEO’s office posted on social media platform X.
The forms are also available online for download.
