Telangana App-Based Cab Strike: Hyderabad Airport Advises Passengers to Plan Ahead
Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) on Tuesday issued a travel advisory for passengers in light of a statewide strike by drivers of app-based transport aggregators in Telangana. The airport warned that cab, auto, and bike taxi services may be affected.
While airport operations remain unaffected, passengers are advised to plan their commute in advance, allow extra travel time, and consider alternative transportation options available at the airport. These include prepaid taxis, car rentals, and the Pushpak airport liner service.
The advisory, posted on social media, stated: 'Airport operations at Hyderabad airport remain unaffected. Passengers are advised to plan their commute in advance, allow additional travel time and consider alternate transportation options at Hyderabad airport that includes prepaid taxis, car rentals and the Pushpak airport liner.'
Passengers requiring assistance have been asked to approach the transport help desk located near Aeroplaza at the airport.
The strike, called by drivers of app-based services, has disrupted transport across Telangana. Authorities urge travelers to stay informed and make necessary arrangements.
