Telangana Allocates ₹20 Crore for Construction Skills Centre in Manthani
The Telangana government has approved the establishment of a National Academy of Construction (NAC) Skill Development Centre in Manthani, Peddapalli district, and sanctioned ₹20 crore for the construction of its building. The centre aims to create a skilled workforce for the construction industry, offering training of international standards.
The centre will provide both short-term and long-term training programmes, equipping youth with modern technologies and practices. This is expected to enhance their employability and enable them to pursue self-employment or secure placements in leading national and international companies, according to a statement from the office of IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu on Friday.
Mr. Sridhar Babu, who represents the Manthani constituency in the Legislative Assembly, thanked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy for approving the project. The administrative orders sanctioning the funds were issued on Friday by Special Chief Secretary of the Transport, Roads & Buildings Department, Vikas Raj.
The centre is expected to serve as a hub for quality skill development for the youth of North Telangana, opening up opportunities in the construction sector across India and abroad, Mr. Sridhar Babu added.
