The agency opened two bank lockers held in the name of Rao's wife at a Canara Bank branch in Shalibanda after obtaining search warrants from the Special Court for SPE and ACB Cases in Hyderabad. The newly recovered items include ₹1.5 crore in cash, 12 gold biscuits weighing 100 grams each, and gold and diamond ornaments weighing around two kilograms.

Rao is currently in judicial custody as the investigation continues. The ACB has not yet disclosed further details about the source of the assets or whether any other individuals are being examined.
