Telangana ACB searches 15 premises linked to power utility engineer in assets case

The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday conducted simultaneous searches at 15 locations linked to a Deputy Engineer of the Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL). The searches follow the registration of a disproportionate assets case against the official for allegedly possessing wealth exceeding his known sources of income.

The official, identified as Muthyam Venkataramana, currently serves as a Deputy Engineer. The raids are being carried out at his residences, office premises, and houses of his relatives across the state.

Investigators are scrutinising financial records, bank transactions, and documents related to land and other immovable properties to verify the allegations. The raids were ongoing at the time of reporting, and further details are awaited.
