Tamil Nadu Grants Final Window for MBBS/BDS Document Upload
The Tamil Nadu Selection Committee has announced a final opportunity for candidates who applied for MBBS and BDS courses but were initially declared ineligible due to missing documents. Eligible candidates can upload the required documents from noon on August 11 to 10 a.m. on August 12.
According to officials, the decision follows representations from affected candidates who sought a chance to rectify their applications. The committee, which supervises medical and dental admissions in the state, has emphasised that this is the last such concession and that no further extensions will be granted.
Authorities have also clarified that new applications or requests for changes in category will not be accepted during this window. Only candidates who had already applied and were found ineligible solely for lack of documents are permitted to use this facility.
The move is aimed at ensuring that deserving students are not deprived of a seat because of procedural lapses. The admission process for MBBS and BDS courses in Tamil Nadu is highly competitive, with thousands of candidates vying for limited seats in government and private colleges.
Officials have urged candidates to make use of this final opportunity carefully. They should verify that all required documents are uploaded in the correct format and within the stipulated timeframe. Failure to do so will result in permanent rejection of their application.
This development comes as part of the ongoing counselling process for medical and dental admissions in the state. The Selection Committee has been issuing regular updates and reminders to candidates to ensure a smooth and transparent admission cycle.
