Tamil Nadu CM Vijay's Office to Shift to Namakkal Kavignar Maligai
The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Office (CMO) is set to be relocated to the 10th floor of Namakkal Kavignar Maligai in the Secretariat complex, according to an official order issued by Chief Secretary M. Sai Kumar.
Currently functioning from Fort St. George—except for a brief period when it operated from the newly constructed Secretariat building on Anna Salai—the CMO will move to a more spacious area in the Secretariat complex. The order cites space constraints and administrative considerations as the reasons for the move.
Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay will now work from the new office once the relocation is complete. The Information and Public Relations Department and the CMO’s Social Media Wing, which currently occupy the 10th floor of Namakkal Kavignar Maligai, will be shifted to Kalaivanar Arangam to accommodate the CMO.
Additionally, the Stationery Section of the Tourism Department will be moved to the ninth floor of Namakkal Kavignar Maligai after the CMO's relocation.
The government has issued the necessary orders to facilitate the move, ensuring minimal disruption to administrative functions.
