Suspected question paper leak at Gujarat Ayurved University under investigation
The Gujarat Ayurved University (GAU) in Jamnagar is investigating a suspected leak of its 'Shalya Tantra-1' examination paper, which was scheduled for July 20. University officials confirmed that several questions from the paper were allegedly circulated on a messaging platform on the same day as the exam, prompting a formal inquiry.
This incident comes amid heightened scrutiny of examination integrity following recent protests in Delhi over similar issues. However, authorities have not yet confirmed the extent of the leak or its origin. The university has stated that it will take strict action against anyone found guilty.
Former Union Minister and Congress leader Jairam Ramesh drew attention to the matter on social media, citing a news report. He also highlighted that Gujarat has witnessed 34 reported paper leaks between 2014 and 2024, referencing various examinations over the years. However, these claims have not been independently verified by this publication.
The university administration has urged students and the public to refrain from speculation and await the outcome of the investigation. GAU officials have assured that the examination process will be reviewed to prevent future incidents.
