Sigma Advanced Systems to Buy UK's Bromford Precision for ₹153 Crore

Sigma Advanced Systems, a Hyderabad-based aerospace and defence components manufacturer, has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire UK-based Bromford Precision Solutions for ₹153 crore. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of this month, subject to customary closing conditions, the company announced.

Bromford Precision Solutions, operating from its facility in Leicestershire, specialises in manufacturing complex aeroengine ring components and other precision-machined structures such as compressor casings, ducts, brackets and lock plates. The acquisition is aimed at strengthening Sigma's capabilities in precision manufacturing and expanding its presence in the aerospace and defence sector.

As part of the deal, Sigma plans to transition select component manufacturing to India to optimise costs, enhance competitiveness, and drive margin expansion. The existing management team at Bromford will continue to oversee day-to-day operations, supported by Sigma's broader leadership.

Sigma Advanced Systems CEO Sunil Kalidindi said, “Bromford brings precision manufacturing capability that complements us directly.”
