Security tightened for NEET re-examination in Gujarat; police to candidate ratio at 1:80

Ahead of the NEET-UG re-examination scheduled for June 21, Gujarat Police have implemented enhanced security measures at all 211 test centres across the state. According to official sources, one police personnel will be deployed for every 80 candidates appearing for the exam, ensuring strict vigilance throughout the test.

The state has registered 79,411 candidates for the re-test. The deployment ratio exceeds that of the recent Lok Rakshak Dal (LRD) exams, where the ratio was one personnel for every 75 candidates. The total number of police personnel involved has not been disclosed by the authorities.

In addition to local police, traffic police units will manage routes leading to examination centres to ensure that candidates arrive on time without disruptions. Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) personnel will also be deployed in districts with examination centres, though their exact numbers remain undisclosed for security reasons.

Candidates are advised to cooperate with security checks and arrive at centres well in advance. The examination authorities have assured that all arrangements are in place for a smooth and secure conduct of the NEET-UG re-test.
