Sanjay Raut claims Fadnavis may replace Pralhad Joshi as education minister; calls Joshi 'interim'

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Wednesday claimed that Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis might replace Pralhad Joshi as the Union Education Minister. Raut alleged that Joshi, who currently holds the portfolio, is only an interim arrangement.

Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Raut said, "Pralhad Joshi is only an interim education minister. The post will eventually go to Devendra Fadnavis. The BJP is just making temporary arrangements." He did not provide any evidence to support his claim.

Pralhad Joshi, a senior BJP leader from Karnataka, was appointed as the Union Minister of Education in July 2024 following a cabinet reshuffle. The BJP has not commented on Raut's statement.

Political analysts note that such claims are common in Indian politics, especially from opposition leaders. The claim has not been corroborated by any official source.
