Run Over by Car, Andhra Medical Student Declared Brain-Dead; Two Detained
A 28-year-old medical student from a private medical college was declared brain-dead after a car allegedly ran over her in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. Priyanka was immediately taken to a hospital in Rajahmundry, where doctors administered emergency treatment. She was later referred to a higher medical facility for neurological management. Despite efforts to stabilise her, she was declared brain-dead by the attending medical team. Her family, unwilling to accept the prognosis, has decided to move her to Hyderabad for further care. Arrangements for her transfer have reportedly been made, though her condition remains extremely critical.
