RRB Announces Group D CBT 1 Exam Dates: August 3-21, 2026
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially announced the schedule for the Computer-Based Test (CBT 1) of the RRB Group D recruitment 2026. The examination will be conducted from August 3 to August 21, 2026, across multiple centres in India, in three shifts each day.
This recruitment drive aims to fill 22,195 vacancies in various Group D posts. Candidates who applied for these positions can now plan their final preparation accordingly.
Each day, the exam will be held in three shifts: Shift 1 from 9:00 AM (reporting time 7:30 AM), Shift 2 from 12:45 PM (reporting time 11:15 AM), and Shift 3 from 4:30 PM (reporting time 3:00 PM). Candidates are advised to reach the centre well before the reporting time, as entry will not be allowed after the gates close.
Along with the exam dates, RRB has also provided the expected schedule for city intimation slips and admit cards. The city intimation slip for candidates appearing on August 3 is expected to be available from July 25, 2026. The Railway Group D Admit Card 2026 is expected to be released from July 31, 2026 onwards. Similar timelines will apply for candidates scheduled on later dates.
All candidates are advised to download both documents well in advance to avoid any last-minute inconvenience. The city slip informs the candidate about the allotted exam city, while the admit card is mandatory for entry into the examination centre.
