Red Fort Blast Accused Muzafar Ahmed: Al-Qaeda Links Under Investigation

New Delhi: Muzafar Ahmed, the key accused in the recent Red Fort blast, has been identified as having alleged connections with the banned terrorist group Al-Qaeda. Security agencies are probing his background and network.

According to official sources, Ahmed was arrested from a hideout in Uttar Pradesh following a joint operation by the Delhi Police and central agencies. Preliminary investigations suggest he may have received training and instructions from operatives linked to Al-Qaeda in the Indian subcontinent.

The blast, which occurred near the historic Red Fort, injured several people and caused minor damage to property. Security has been heightened in the capital, and authorities are on alert for possible related threats.

Muzafar Ahmed's role in the attack is being examined, and evidence including digital devices and documents have been seized. Officials have not ruled out further arrests.

The case has drawn attention to the continuing threat from terror networks operating in the region. Legal proceedings are expected to begin soon as the investigation continues.
