Proddatur Woman Constable Wins Silver at All India Police Games
P. Sivakumari, a woman police constable from Proddatur III Town Police Station in Andhra Pradesh's Kadapa district, has won a silver medal at the 11th All India Police Games. The event was held at Gachibowli in Hyderabad from July 23 to 30, 2026. Sivakumari secured the silver in the Penchak Silat open category (over 100 kg) in the individual competition.
Two other police personnel from Proddatur also performed creditably at the games. S. Mahaboob Basha, a sub-inspector at Proddatur II Town Police Station, and S.P. Mahaboob Basha, a traffic police constable, advanced to the quarter-finals in the Taekwondo Poomsae category. Their performances were noted for their discipline and technical skill.
District Superintendent of Police Shelke Nachiket Viswanath congratulated all three personnel for their achievements. He felicitated them at the District Police Office in Kadapa on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. The SP appreciated their dedication and discipline, and said their performances brought pride to the district police department and the Proddatur sub-division.
He further stated that their commitment and perseverance would serve as an inspiration to other police personnel. He also extended his best wishes for their success in future national and international sporting competitions.
