PM Modi Urges Constructive Spirit in Parliament as India Achieves Milestones

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing reporters at the Parliament complex on Monday, highlighted India's recent achievements and called for a constructive spirit during the Monsoon Session. He emphasised that the country is moving forward with speed and that Parliament should infuse new energy into this momentum.

Modi noted that the Monsoon Session begins at a time when India has made significant progress, citing the country's GDP growth despite pressures on oil and fertiliser prices due to the West Asia crisis. He also mentioned the first private orbital rocket launch and India's first hydrogen-powered train as markers of national advancement.

“There is no need for a storm where arguments and facts are there. I hope that facts and arguments, and every voice get an opportunity and respect,” Modi said. He stressed the importance of a constructive spirit to achieve the country's goals and urged lawmakers to engage in debate based on facts and data.

The Prime Minister's remarks come as Parliament prepares for the Monsoon Session, which is expected to include discussions on key legislative and policy matters. Modi's call for respect and constructive debate reflects the need for productive parliamentary proceedings in the current political climate.

India's economic growth has remained resilient amid global challenges, with the government citing strong domestic demand and policy reforms. The private orbital rocket launch marks a milestone in the country's space sector, which has seen increasing private participation.
