PM Modi to Inaugurate Bhogapuram International Airport on August 1, Boosting North Andhra Economy
State Minister for Roads and Buildings BC Janardhan Reddy inspected preparations across Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts on Monday for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit on August 1.
The high-profile tour centres on the inauguration of the Bhogapuram International Airport, a flagship infrastructure project envisioned to reshape North Andhra’s economic landscape.
Review meetings held in Gajapathinagaram, Bobbili, and Vizianagaram saw the active participation of local legislators, Ministers, and NDA coalition leaders.
Addressing media personnel at Bobbili MLA R.V.S.K.K. Rangarao’s residence, Minister Janardhan Reddy emphasised that the airport stands as a monumental achievement for the region. He noted that the project, initiated during a previous Telugu Desam Party tenure, reaches completion under the current leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and Minister Nara Lokesh. The administration expects an estimated public gathering of two lakh attendees for the grand event.
Ministers and local representatives coordinated detailed plans to ensure zero inconvenience for attendees traveling from various constituencies. Officials highlighted that world-class investments are pouring into Visakhapatnam and surrounding corridors, creating robust employment avenues for local youth.
Furthermore, leaders criticised opposition rhetoric, stating that political detractors fail to acknowledge developmental milestones.
