PM Modi meets Mauritius PM Ramgoolam in Seychelles, reviews bilateral ties
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam in Victoria, Mahe, on Sunday during his visit to Seychelles. The meeting took place on the sidelines of Seychelles' Golden Jubilee National Day celebrations.
This was the fourth meeting between the two leaders since Ramgoolam assumed office in November 2024. According to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office, they discussed ongoing cooperation between India and Mauritius and reviewed progress on the Special Economic Package extended by India.
Modi previously visited Mauritius in March 2024 as chief guest for the country's 57th National Day celebrations. In February 2025, Ramgoolam visited India for the AI Impact Summit, where talks focused on emerging technologies and artificial intelligence.
