On Friday, the Lok Sabha passed the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Amendment) Bill, 2026 and the Other Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026. The government has maintained that these legislative changes are aimed at streamlining regulations and improving governance, while Opposition members have argued that several provisions need closer scrutiny.
The Monsoon Session has seen repeated disruptions, with opposition parties demanding answers on the alleged misappropriation of funds collected for the Ram Mandir construction.
