Parawada Industrial Blast: Two Families Left Without Earners After Tragic Accident
An explosion at the Dakshin Energy unit in Parawada Industrial Park on Tuesday claimed the lives of two young employees, leaving their families facing an uncertain future.
The deceased were identified as B. Trinadh (24) and V. Venkatesh (34). Both men were the primary breadwinners for their families and had taken on the responsibility of securing a better future for their loved ones.
Venkatesh's wife, V. Kamala, was inconsolable at the accident site. Relatives struggled to comfort her as she spoke about her husband's dedication. “I repeatedly told him not to work in industries. We hear about accidents so often, and this company was far from our house. But he never listened. He always said he had to earn to provide a better life for our children,” she said.
Venkatesh is survived by his wife and three daughters, aged nine, five, and three. Family members said he never viewed having three daughters as a burden; instead, he considered them his strength and dreamed of giving them a good future. “He always said his daughters should have a good life. He worked only for them,” said Shanthi, a relative.
Trinadh had joined Dakshin Energy just a few months ago in search of a better salary. His father, Paru Naidu, suffers from health problems, while his mother works as an agricultural labourer. Trinadh had become the family's primary earner. “He laid the foundation for a house but had to stop construction because of financial difficulties. Every rupee he earned went towards the family,” recalled his uncle, M. Somi Naidu.
Another relative, N. Raju, said Trinadh's ambitions were simple but meaningful. “All he wanted was to build a house for his parents, find a good match for his 18-year-old sister B. Madhavi, and ensure his family lived comfortably. He never thought about himself.”
Trinadh's sister Madhavi arrived at the accident site and was unable to come to terms with the loss, breaking down repeatedly. According to his cousin Padma, Trinadh had completed his regular shift but agreed to continue on the night shift after being offered overtime. “He thought the extra money would help his family. That's why he stayed back. He wanted to earn a little more,” she said, adding that decision proved fatal.
The explosion at the Parawada Industrial Park has once again highlighted the risks faced by workers in industrial units. Authorities are investigating the cause of the blast.
