Pakistani national, 31, apprehended after crossing LoC in Poonch

Jammu, India – A 31-year-old Pakistani national was taken into custody by security forces after he crossed the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Tuesday.

The individual, identified as [Name not disclosed], was intercepted by alert troops during a patrol in the forward area. He was found to be in possession of a mobile phone and some cash. The security forces immediately cordoned off the area and took him into custody.

According to army sources, the man claimed to have inadvertently crossed the LoC due to dense fog and lack of visibility. However, preliminary investigations suggest he may have had intentions to gather information.
