The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an 'Orange Alert' for Delhi, signalling heavy rainfall expected throughout Thursday. Rain began in the early hours, providing relief from recent humidity.

Continuous rain caused slight waterlogging in areas such as New Delhi Railway Station and Munirka. The IMD forecasts widespread rainfall over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh until July 10, with a fresh spell over Northeast Uttar Pradesh until July 13 and East Rajasthan on July 9.

The alert aims to warn residents of potential disruptions and advises caution during the heavy downpour.
